I used Adobe Illustration to create the exterior of the 'building' with the protruding windows and the air-conditioning outdoor units. The cutting was done in UAL's digital fabrication workshop.

After cutting, I painted the board in the same shade of grey as my other painting.
Then, we added the small window and the air-conditioning outdoor unit painted by Hanzhuo. The old Italianate windows and the appearance of the air conditioning outdoor units that would be found in older neighbourhoods. This better reflects the crowdedness and the oppression of human beings of the city.
We have also added an iron grid that looks like a prison. The 'characters' are happy and lively, but they are bound by the 'city'.
We displayed the image on the electronic screen in each window.
